A simple drink to boost metabolism & weight loss or you can say this is an infusion which can be prepared at home and can also be carried to work to boost your metabolism. This is to help reduce acidity, bloating, and flatulence. Beside this infusion can be used to boost immunity, detoxify, purify the blood and for improving digestion.

A necessity for a homemade drink  to combat ailments

We all know that there is a huge side effect of the medication. Whenever we suffer from any type of disease we have a tendency to pop up a pill that is easily available at the chemist shop. All these medicines are in general artificial and in the long run, are responsible to damage our immunity. There is no doubt that these chemical-laden pills help to address the problems instantly, but at a high cost in the later stage of life.

In this article, I will provide you with an age-old drink that can be easily prepared at home wich aids metabolism as well as weight loss. This recipe is handed down from generation. Even mentioned in the ancient scriptures. The ingredients used in this recipe are mainly the spices that are very commonly found in our kitchen. We use them regularly as flavoring agents in our food. I will be using the ingredients like Cumin, Ajwain, coriander and fennel seeds.

Short description of the spices required

Cumin

Cumin: is a very powerful Spice. It is rich in magnesium, calcium, potassium, Vitamin A and C, phosphorus. It stimulates bile production and it helps to break down the fat. Thus it also helps to lose weight. It is useful in removing toxins from the liver, kidney. it supports secretion of digestive enzyme in your system and due to this secretion of digestive enzymes the metabolic rate will be in hand it also helps to feel full for a longer period of time that reducing the carvings of food. Since binge eating is stopped, weight management is easily possible.

 

Bishop weed seeds

Ajwain or Bishops Weed: this is usually a natural antispasmodic. Nowadays we see that when a child is in pain due to colitis, off the counter medicines like Gripe water is prescribed. But in the olden times, we have seen grandmothers or elders in the family to give ajwain water and the colic pain of child would be reduced. Massaging castor oil or Asafoetida water around the naval of the child release the colic pain. but nowadays people tend to use medicines as a quick fix.

Other spices

Coriander

Coriander: it is considered to be a natural diuretic. Moreover, it can also reduce sugar intake. nowadays we are prone to eat junk food and sugar and all these leads to water retention in the body. Besides if there is a hormonal imbalance in the body it also leads to water retention .now when we use medicines project Lasix which is used as a diuretic causes damage to the kidneys etc by forcefully flushing out the water. Coriander water is very useful to reduce the water retention of the body. Moreover, this can also be used to remove the toxin and flush them out from the body.

Fennel seeds

Fennel seeds: this is generally used as a mouth freshener -after every meal people tend to chew fennel seed particularly in Indian culture. This also known to stimulate digestive enzyme in the body due to this secretion of this digestive enzyme digestion and metabolism is very good. It is found that fennel seeds after a meal – reduces the sugar craving after the meal the weight can be kept in a controlled way those who want to lose weight. Another factor is if your metabolic rate is good and the toxins are flushed out from your liver and Kidneys then there will be no problem if you are undergoing any diet plan for weight loss

Now how to prepare the infusion for metabolism & weight loss

You required

  • 1 liter of water
  • 2 tablespoon of Cumin
  • 1 tablespoon coriander
  • 1 tablespoon of fennel seed
  • half teaspoon of Ajwain seed
  • A glass jar with lid

 Soak all these ingredients in one liter of water overnight. In the morning you can drink a glass of this on empty stomach. Then sip/drink this water as per requirement throughout the day. Another effective method is to boil this water in the morning for 10 minutes. When cool strain the liquid and store in a glass jar with a lid. Drink after every meal.

You can also be creative-

you can mix lemon juice, ginger juice, honey and a pinch of black salt to this concoction. Besides imparting a good taste all these have medicinal values also.
